The Company
Our client is a very well established and highly professional supplier of healthcare equipment operating in the healthcare sector. They offer a large selection of hoists, chairs and beds into the NHS and Nursing Home market. They are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to sell pressure relief solutions to the public and private sectors from North, North West London up to Northampton and across to Slough area.

The Role
The purpose and remit of the Business Development Manager role:-
* Selling capital equipment solutions and services and to provide on going support to existing customers
* Provide training and account penetration into existing customer base
* Developing new business in their area by selling to end user organisations
* Identifying opportunities in the territory, taking the opportunity from initial contact to negotiating and closing the sale
* Some telemarketing support is provided and you will be expected to develop your own leads
* Ensuring that contact is made at a senior level with key decision makers and that our client is added to the tender list
* Build a sales pipeline of new business opportunities to ensure the sales target is met

The Candidate
The Business Development Manager experience and qualifications:-
* Proven track record in selling healthcare capital equipment into public and private hospitals and nursing homes
* Must have a minimum of 3 years sales experience in selling to hospitals and nursing homes
* Must have a nursing qualification or nursing background
* Commercially astute with ability to identify potential business opportunities and ideally has contacts with end user clients
* Experienced in selling to developers, architects and national contractors
* Experienced in responding to tenders
* Team player with the ability to work closely with team members
* Ability to develop opportunities and close sales
* Tenacious with the will to win especially when dealing with longer sales cycles
* Confident personality and able to communicate and present at Board Level with the ability to negotiate and close sales
* Computer literate, organised and able to prioritise and deliver results

The Reward
In return, the Business Development Manager will receive an excellent remuneration package including a 30k - 40k basic with an uncapped commission scheme giving OTE of 45k - 55k, company car, pension scheme, 22 days holiday which increases with service and very good carer prospects.
