This role is a 14 month fixed term contract covering maternity leave.

Our client has grown rapidly and to date, have 596 shops nationally, positioning them as one of the UK's leading high street retailers.

They are now looking to recruit an experienced and commercially focussed Health and Safety Manager to effectively support their stores, warehouses and head office functions on a contract basis. This is an operationally focused, commercial role and you will play a key part in delivering an effective health and safety agenda to support this growing business.

Managing a small team of Health, Safety and Risk professionals, your key priorities will include building effective relationships across the retail stores, warehouses and head office functions to ensure an efficient health and safety agenda is delivered across the following key areas:

- Risk assessments
- Accident / Incident reporting
- Analysis and monthly reporting
- Training
- Partnership working with Fire Officers and Environmental Officers

This position requires a strong communicator with a commercial focus, able to build effective relationships on all levels, both internally and externally. You may also be required to review and design training materials, though this will not be a large part of the role. We have stores and warehouses all over the country so a full driving licence and a flexible attitude towards travel is also essential, although this will only be necessary a couple of times per month.
