The mission of the college is to deliver a high quality, inclusive and comprehensive curriculum, in an accessible and flexible way.
They currently have an opportunity for a Caseworker Tutor - Programmes for the Unemployed, to join their team.
The successful candidate will provide supervision to a specific curriculum area ensuring the framework meets budget, quality and operational targets. You will deliver high quality, learner focused education to meet contractual requirements and standards in line with policies and procedures.
Within the role you will undertake tutorials, either on a one on one basis or as a group, while assisting with recruitment by interviewing, enrolling and inducting students. You must carry out the necessary administration related to the teaching programme, undertaking duties associated with the design and development of teaching materials and learning resources while also participating in the extra-curricular activities of the department. Working in conjunction with stakeholders and clients where appropriate you will be expected to conduct One to one interviews with customers and liaise closely with Job centre plus.
You will be expected to work flexibly in line with the requirements of the post ensuring that you actively contribute to the Colleges commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Candidates for this role should hold a subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) qualification within a specified time scale, coupled with a teaching / assessing qualification.
With a creative approach to teaching and curriculum planning, you must have the ability to establish appropriate relationships with students and also demonstrate good organisational and administrative skills. You must be experienced at working with, and supporting, the unemployed and have a track record in the effective delivery of programmes to the unemployed.
