Evening and weekends are on a rota basis THE ROLE: Care & Support Worker This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated professionals to work within a quality driven care organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a wide range of support and opportunities to service users to maintain and promote independence within their own homes. The Key Responsibilities for the role:- Assisting with domestic duties including cleaning, cooking and washing To assist service users with all aspects or personal care, including washing, toileting, shaving, dental hygiene, bathing, dressing, eating. Also changing of incontinence products, maintenance of catheter equipment and disposing of soiled items by appropriate methods Provide general support to the service user and liaising with other services as required Contributing to service users assessment and review processes with a view to providing an objective evaluation of individual care needs Report to either Supervisor or Care Manager with any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a service users Adhering to all company policies and procedures. Encouraging independence of all customers wherever possible. About the client:
Each client of ICCM has individual needs and therefore the care required will be different with every client. Below forms part of the Personal Carer /Support Worker Job Description, which is a generic job description detailing duties to be performed within this role; but also gives you information for the particular client that you may be working with.
ICCM is looking for a Support Worker / Care Worker to work with their client who suffers from encephalitis and epilepsy. Their client has severe short-term memory problems and uses a memory board and a diary to help with this. They can make decisions such as regarding their clients money and will help with preparing food.
ICCM provides full training, so applicants without any experience of care work will be welcomed, provided you are able to display the right attitudes and values to work in a complex care environment.
General Duties:
- ICCM's client will require support to carry out day to day activities and achieve their goals.
- Animals are a particular interest of this client, particularly her two cats at home.. They also volunteer at the local animal sanctuary one morning a week where they help with the cats.
- Prior to developing encephalitis their client was a potential Oxbridge candidate and participated very actively in sixth form life attending parties and clothes shopping with friends.
About you:
- The client would like someone who is, down to earth, chatty and motivated.
- Someone who will encourage them to do things and get them out.
- The successful candidate will accompany the client to NANA and Headway.
- Full training will be given.

We currently have an opportunity for a Deputy Manager for our home at Walnut Tree Lodge located near Bedford.
Within this role, you will be proportionately responsible to the Senior Management Team as delegated by the Registered Home Manager for the Home as a whole to include budgets, the fabric of the building and the recovery of children. Working alongside the Registered Home Manager, you will ensure any new developments regarding policy, procedures or processes are communicated to team members keeping in line with all standards and procedures.
Developing and maintaining relationships with all staff, including management level, you will be able to support, reflect and evidence the progress of individual children using our recovery programme. You will progress and encourage continual relationships with all external agencies including Ofsted, Education, Health, Social Services and all other regulatory bodies.
The successful Deputy Manager will hold a Foundation Degree in Therapeutic Childcare or equivalent, and hold experience of residential work with young people who have a history of serious deprivation and abuse – sexual, physical and / or mental. Proven experience of supervising staff with in a residential setting you will have the ability to manage in stressful situations and will contain anxiety effectively. Ideally you will be working towards NVQ Level 4 in Childcare, Residential Work and hold management experience.

The purpose of the role is to provide support to people with dementia and their carers helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. Key Responsibilities to include:- Assisting clients in assessing their information and support needs Provide information and support via phone, email, letter or face to face, at the client's home or other appropriate location When appropriate, to signpost clients to a choice of suitable other sources of help to maintain accurate client support plans and client contact records To assist with raising public awareness about dementia and to participate in local events to record client feedback and plan any necessary adjustments On occasions recruit, induct and support volunteers THE COMPANY: Our client champions the rights of people living with dementia and the millions of people who care for them. THE CANDIDATE: Our client is looking for a caring, proactive and passionate candidate who particularly has an interest in caring for others with dementia. Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the role:- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Excellent communication skills Experience of working within care is desirable but not essential An understanding of dementia Knowledge of relevant legislation including Health & Safety and the Mental Capacity Act is desirable Valid UK driving license and own vehicle is desirable Although experience is desirable, our client is more interested in YOU. LOCATION: Corby JOB TITLE: Family Support Worker SALARY & BENEFITS: �18,270 - �19,998 pro rata WORKING HOURS: 15 hours per week - days/hours can be flexible THE ROLE: Support Worker Home-Start Corby offers support, friendship and practical help to families with young children. We recruit and facilitate training for volunteers to befriend families where there is at least 1 child under 5 years of age. We are currently looking for a part-time Family Support Worker for our Corby scheme to help provide support to families within the Corby area. The successful candidate will provide a wide range of support and opportunities to families such as helping them access services or providing emotional support. This is an excellent opportunity for you to use your experience and background to join our team. The Key Responsibilities for the role:- Promoting the scheme within the area through networking and community based activities and good practice. Developing relationships with families, meeting with them to discuss their needs and introducing them to appropriate services within the area Signposting to external services and groups and contacting these where needed THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with families and young children. You will be an excellent communicator, able to develop relationships with families and can demonstrate previous experience of working with children and their families. Key skills and experience preferred:- NVQ Level 3 in childcare is essential Vetting and barring checks will be undertaken. Knowledge of voluntary organisations It is essential that you understand CAFF (Common Assessment Framework) and safeguarding procedures You must have previous experience of working with families in their home and in groups.
