About the client:
Each client of ICCM has individual needs and therefore the care required will be different with every client. Below forms part of the Personal Carer /Support Worker Job Description, which is a generic job description detailing duties to be performed within this role; but also gives you information for the particular client that you may be working with.

ICCM is looking for a Support Worker / Care Worker to work with their client who suffers from encephalitis and epilepsy. Their client has severe short-term memory problems and uses a memory board and a diary to help with this. They can make decisions such as regarding their clients money and will help with preparing food.

ICCM provides full training, so applicants without any experience of care work will be welcomed, provided you are able to display the right attitudes and values to work in a complex care environment.

General Duties:
- ICCM's client will require support to carry out day to day activities and achieve their goals.
- Animals are a particular interest of this client, particularly her two cats at home.. They also volunteer at the local animal sanctuary one morning a week where they help with the cats.
- Prior to developing encephalitis their client was a potential Oxbridge candidate and participated very actively in sixth form life attending parties and clothes shopping with friends.

About you:
- The client would like someone who is, down to earth, chatty and motivated.
- Someone who will encourage them to do things and get them out.
- The successful candidate will accompany the client to NANA and Headway.
- Full training will be given.

Care Support Worker - Job Details:
We provide services that enable people to maintain living in their own homes. This might include personal care, assistance with eating and drinking and medication support. Carewatch are looking for people who are available to share working some weekends, evenings and / or holiday periods. Carewatch would strive to roster a round of care work to suit your availability and minimum distance to travel. Working as a Care Worker provides you with flexible work that offers a choice of hours to suit most people including: Morning, Lunch, Tea and Evening rounds weekdays and weekends. If you are honest and reliable, have your own transport and will travel to some of the Parish areas mentioned above then Carewatch will provide you with good rates of pay, enhancements for weekends and a mileage allowance. Care Support Worker: Experience and Training
Previous care support experience is an advantage but not essential as full training and support will be given.
Training: Full induction training prior to confirmation of employment including, Company Orientation, Manual Handling, Emergency Aid, Protection of Vulnerable Adults and More. Enhanced CRB disclosure prior to employment. Full vetting procedures prior to employment. Within 6 months of service you can undertake a National Diploma in Health and Social Care, which will automatically increase your salary rate upon successful completion. Also, this could enable you to become a Senior Care Worker, again enhancing the rate of pay. Full induction training and support will be provided as per usual.
