TXM Healthcare currently have a requirements for 2 experienced Band 5 staff nurse to be part of a medical Unit for a leading hospital based in the Channel Islands. The position will be for 4 months as a locum nurse with a view of extending. The Medical wards within the hospital provide care for a variety of medical conditions - such as endocrine, cardiac, pulmonary, renal, haematological and malignant conditions. We currently have an opportunity for a Deputy Manager for our home at Walnut Tree Lodge located near Bedford.
Within this role, you will be proportionately responsible to the Senior Management Team as delegated by the Registered Home Manager for the Home as a whole to include budgets, the fabric of the building and the recovery of children. Working alongside the Registered Home Manager, you will ensure any new developments regarding policy, procedures or processes are communicated to team members keeping in line with all standards and procedures.
Developing and maintaining relationships with all staff, including management level, you will be able to support, reflect and evidence the progress of individual children using our recovery programme. You will progress and encourage continual relationships with all external agencies including Ofsted, Education, Health, Social Services and all other regulatory bodies.
The successful Deputy Manager will hold a Foundation Degree in Therapeutic Childcare or equivalent, and hold experience of residential work with young people who have a history of serious deprivation and abuse – sexual, physical and / or mental. Proven experience of supervising staff with in a residential setting you will have the ability to manage in stressful situations and will contain anxiety effectively. Ideally you will be working towards NVQ Level 4 in Childcare, Residential Work and hold management experience.
These roles require an enhanced DBS Check
